Travel NEWS - Cruise Lines vs. Alaska
This past Monday, Norwegian Cruise Line became the second cruise line, after Royal Caribbean, to change the destination of an Alaska-bound ship.
The Norwegian Sun will head to the more profitable Europe beginning in the summer of 2010. Company officials say the decision was made due to Alaska’s $50 passenger fee.
Royal Caribbean will implement their change in the summer of 2010 as well. Carnival Cruise Lines has also threatened to pull ships out of Alaska. For the latest travel news and information, check our travel news weekly.
