Description:
Kihei is located in South Maui and is known for its mild weather and great beaches. It is centrally located enabling visitors to easily explore the other attractions on Maui.
Our Kihei Akahi Studio is in south Kihei across from Kamaole 2 beach. It has an in suite washer and dryer and is air conditioned. It was completely updated with tile floors, paint, countertops and appliances in 2003. The Akahi has two swimming pools with barbeques, a tennis court, activities desk and is centrally located in South Kihei one block from numerous restaurants, night clubs, coffee shops and shopping. Also within a block is a health food store, a dive shop, postal center, video rental, conveinance store, and internet access. Our non-smoking corner unit is located in the D building at the Kihei Akahi so even with the close proximity to everything the nights are quiet and our lanai private.
Kihei has an average annual rainfall of about 10 inches insuring some of the best beach weather anywhere on the island. Sunny South Kihei has the most expansive and best swimming beaches on Maui starting with the Kamaole 2 beach directly across from us. Within walking distance south are the Kamaole 3 beach, world famous Keawakapu Beach, Mokapu Beach, Ulua Beach, Wailea Beach, and Polo Beach, or you can walk north to Kamaole 1 Beach or Charlie Young Beach. All of these beaches are safe for swimming and the Kam. 2 Beach has lifeguard stations. A five minute drive south will take you to world famous McKenna Beach (big beach) and little beach. Continue driving for another ten to fifteen minutes and the road will end at Ahihi-Kina'u Natural Area Preserve and La Perouse bay where you will find Turtles, Spinner Dolphins and some of the best snorkeling in the islands. Fill free to use our snorkeling gear, boogie boards and umbrella.
Our property is professionally managed, so while you receive a discount by contacting and renting directly from me, you will also receive the benefits of professional property management, including check-in and check-out as well as a local emergency number (lost keys anyone?). Our management company charges me a small fee for these services which I am happy to pay to insure your stay is trouble free.
