Description:

Aloha!

Come enjoy the balmy breezes of Hilo Bay and the lovely sunshine in East Hawaii! Bring your best friend and live like a local for a few days. You'll have views, pools, waterfalls, rocky shorelines, 15,000' mountains, native forests, and basically the world's climates in a nutshell...all but one of the eight climate zones are on the Big Island!

The best part about this side is that you are not subject to the searing desert-like heat of Kona, but you can get there in an hour!

Ok, you probably want to know about your apartment, yes? Accessible by wheelchair, no elevators, this is ground floor entry with a second floor view of Waiola Pond and the ocean beyond. The pool is in the garden area downstairs, ramp accessible. A queen bed and sitting area with kitchen prep area and a not-small bathroom. Please see the list of amenities. All dishes, linens, towels, kitchen items and soaps included. Bring your toothbrush, some clothes and stop at the grocery store for snacks, the room is equipped for you to relax. We even provide the coffee, Kona Coffee, of course, sweetener and individual creamers. Many restaurants of varying flavors and costs can be found closeby...yum, yum. What do you fancy?

Book early for the Merrie Monarch Festival and the Canoe International Invitational Hoe Wa'a. If you are a vulcanologist, or just think molten rock is cool, you can get to Kilauea caldera and the Pu'u O'o Kupaianaha vent area down the road a bit...all located within the National Park!

Just so you know, I am a licensed real estate agent with Hilo Brokers, Ltd, and I am the owner/manager of this condo. If you find yourself also looking for property while in town, let me help you put it together and see what makes owning here such a pleasure! (Writing off your vacation rental comes to mind!)

Also, if you find yourself in Hilo on a regular basis, ask us about the "frequent flier" discount!

In the event that there is a conflict of times wherein a free-independant tourist and either hula talent (for Merrie Monarch) or technical crew, athlete/canoe-paddler in competition (for World Sprints), or bona-fide vulcanologist or volcano-photogtapher are in line to rent the same unit at the same time, preference will be given to the party whose presence is required on the island to participate in the event or situation. This is necessary to allow for the events to take place without huge conflicts of where these participants can and will stay. We sincerely apologize if you fall into the FIT group and are secondary to the participants in these events and request that you adjust your travel plans to allow for the events to take place without displacing participants.
