Oliva is a great location in Spain for a relaxing holiday in the sun. Oliva is a medium size village where many kinds of shops, restaurants and supermarkets can be found. The nearest towns are Gandia to the North and Denia to the South, at about 25 minutes drive. Both towns have excellent Spanish atmospheres with plenty of bars and restaurants, markets, and many other attractions for both children and adults. Denia has a famous fish market by the port where fresh fish (sometimes still alive) can be bought for very modest prices. Oliva, Denia and Gandia are well know for their summer festivities such as Toros (Bullfights), Moros y Cristianos, and their outdoor concerts and cinemas. Oliva and its surroundings have great opportunities for sporting activities. These include golf, biking, climbing, fishing and water sports such as swimming, sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, scuba-diving, water skiing and jet-skiing. Benidorm is located at 40 minutes drive on the A-7 from Oliva. The newly opened Theme Park Terra Mitica is a good family day out.
