The vacation rentals industry has exploded these past ten years. The holiday rentals industry is a $25 billion market in the US which is almost equivalent to the US cruise line industry.

 

The vacation rentals industry in Europe (Europe vacation rentals) is older and probably a bit bigger than the US holiday rentals market.

Vacationers are getting smarter and making travel more affordable by staying in vacation rentals. The latest statistics show that vacationers are taking shorter holidays but traveling more frequently. Additionally, once holiday goers turn to holiday rentals, they rarely go back to traditional lodging options.

Industry figures indicate that close to 20 million holiday goers stayed in vacation rentals last year and close to 90% of customers were satisfied with their accommodations.
