Vacation Rentals & Dispute With Credit Card Companies

Vacation Rentals - Vacation Rentals & Credit Card Companies

Vacation renters may pay for their vacation rentals stay with a wire transfer, cash, credit card or Paypal. When renters pay with credit card, they have added protection against unethical vacation rentals owners/managers. They will be able to contest the charge and have the money credited to their bank account.

The breach of contract needs to be substantial for the credit card to refund the expense to the renter’s account. The renter must be able to prove that the holiday rentals owner has not fulfilled his responsibilities.

Credit card companies will ask both parties to present their arguments and will then decide if they will credit the renter or not. It may take up to 6 months before the issue is resolved.

Website presentations, contract agreements, pictures of the vacation rentals property and email exchange between the holiday rentals owner and the renter are very important to your case. Written proof is crucial and the credit card company will base their judgment on written material.
